What were the reasons for the split into India and Pakistan?

The muslims and the Hindus didn't get along all to well. They did things their way. They studied their own religion, ate their own food, celebrated/did their own traditions.Muslims had their own water and Hindus had their own water.Muslims ate cows and Hindus worshipped cows. The Muslims requested their own country so they went to the British Indian Empire and asked for their own land and the British Indian Empire allowed it.

Are traditions viewed the same, by different people? Why/why not?

Traditions are not viewed differently by different people because they all believe something else for example: Muslims,Hindus,Christians etc. They all believe in different things and look at things at different perspective. For example Muslims believe in one God but Hindus believe in many gods and goddess.

Explain an example in your life, where you are currently affected (positively or negatively) by a custom or belief from the past.

Ramadan for example is a positive custom that we the Muslims believe and do.We fast for 1 month to put ourselves in the position of people that don't have food or any money. We’ve kept this tradition since the begin of islam.I feel positivily affected by this tradition because it's keeps us healthy and we think of the poor and God rewards us for it.
